Tell us what you do for a living and who you work for?
Managing Director, Wieden + Kennedy London

What does that involve?
Trying to create an environment in which our people can do the best work of their lives for some of the greatest clients in the world.

How did you get started in the industry?
I applied for a bunch of grad trainee jobs at dozens of agencies. I got one interview at Allen, Brady and Marsh, which was at that time a top ten agency. I was accepted for their grad scheme as a trainee researcher.

What would you be doing if you weren't doing that?
Replacing the late Joe Strummer in the reformed line-up of The Clash.

What's your all-time favourite piece of creative work?
Television's 'Marquee Moon'.

What do you love about your job?
The unpredictability.

What do you hate about your job?
The fact that it's impossible to make things work out just the way you want all the time.
